From creating these pieces, I learn several struggles as a writer and in general. For instance, after summarizing and responding to the first part, this project needs to have a creative piece that requires critical and productive thinking. In the second part, I used my skill (drawing) and connected it with the chosen article to develop visual art. Therefore, it’s my first time creating an art piece based on a text. And I learn how to break down the main text Idea and develop into a deep meaning to the visual art. Furthermore, using a particular object or symbol to form a description.
Looking at the project, one thing I would do differently is the creative part because I feel there is a better way to develop a visual art link to the reading. For instance, before starting part 2, I should break down each vital piece because I start with what came out of my mind and develop more after re-read the text. However, I feel there would be a better improvement before starting part II. Like the choosing color and sitting could be done differently/ better. Therefore, I enjoyed doing this project because it isn’t just to make sure I fully understand the reading using rhetorical analysis but also to use my creative skill to show what I know about the author’s message.
